My Blue
I once had this blue,
It passed the horizon of the sea.
I called it my friend
It reached beyond all the skies.
that they think has no end
I saw it resting between all the colours
But it was the one that stood out from all my crayons.
I saw my reflection in its shine
It was the home I called mine
I felt the hope in its purity
that made me believe of serendipity
And touched my dreams in its texture
And it was only blue
.. that could colour my picture.
I once had this blue.
Which came in so many grades
I once had this blue
Which faded into unrecognisable shades
And kept on fading as I grew.
Maybe it's this knocking my door,
trying to visit once again.
Showing me that it's still alive
And that my blue can still begin.
Because, I saw it.
WIth the perfect shade.
I saw my blue,
in you.
